Yesterday for lunch we hosted a couple we know through our church's biweekly home group. Our flat is pretty small, but they were good-spirited about crowding around our small table as we feasted on some tasty tex-mex: salsa with homemade guacamole and pico de gallo and fajitas. We finished with a scrumptous hybrid brownie-chocolate pudding dessert with ice cream and proper British cream. Mmmm! We enjoyed our conversations and company, and the (very British) post-lunch walk we all took together. (Those of you who have sent us photos can see we enjoy them, as we've temporarily propped up many photos of friends and family along our mantlepiece).

Tex-mex sounds good about now.
