Basic Bath Fast Facts

A few bits of information about our adventure here....
  • Bath as a city was founded by the Romans, around 45-50 A.D. Bath's ancient Roman Baths are well-preserved and attracts many tourists from around the world.

  • Bath is a city of about 90,000 residents, located about 90 miles west of London.

  • The City of Bath is famous for Georgian architecture, especially the Crescents. Georgian architecture was the dominant school of design from 1720-1840 in England (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgian_architecture)

  • The University of Bath, where Josh is studying for a Masters in International Politics, has about 10,000 undergraduate students and roughly 5,000 postgraduate (what we Americans would call 'graduate') students. The University is a 'top 10' University in Britain. http://www.bath.ac.uk/.
