"Mr. Spontenaeity" Hops the Pond

Our friend from DC, Ken, surprised us when we received an email last Friday asking if we would be up for him visiting that coming Sunday afternoon through Monday morning. We did not have much scheduled, so, earning himself the title, 'Mr. Spontenaeity,' Ken took advantage of a U.S. holiday giving him time off work and booked a cheap flight to come see us with under 24 hours of planning. Ken also spent some time in London, but we enjoyed a good visit with him while he was here in Bath.

Since Ken played 'Mr. Darcy' in Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice,' in college, we had to make a pilgrimage to the Jane Austen museum here in Bath. Here you can see Ken gazing wistfully as he ponders an unexplored career in theater - ha!

Ken was only on the ground here in Bath about 9 waking hours, but we saw the Abbey, the Crescent, the museum, and dined out for Indian food, enjoyed live Irish music at a pub, and even made time for a 'full English breakfast' of ham, toast, eggs, stewed tomatoes, sausage, and baked beans.
